Current Client Conversations & Difficult Moves

I spent a significant amount of last week dealing with difficult moves. Meaning, dealing with both clients and their aging parents or other relatives moving into either other locations or other forms of housing. Also, arranging for estate planning items. Much of my time is spent on these non-investment-related items. A couple of nuggets for you:
- If you type into Google “probate statutory fees California” dozens of law firm site will pop up with probate fee schedules. Look for yourself: They are high. This is among the reasons Californians get Revocable Living Trusts.
- Costs of Senior Care vary widely. Also, there are multiple resources for finding these services and locations. It is common that I can make introductions for clients to people I know that are involved in these services.
- Often times I am asked for introductions to people who help organize and declutter in the event of a move. I can often locate people who do these things.

So, my message this week is that while we are portfolio managers and financial advisors, we also get involved in other financial and functional things where clients need help or introductions.
Please reach out if you need some help in these areas.
Thanks,
Mike
